Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is implementing a number of measures that will allow Hong Kong students and youth to quickly come to Canada on work and study permits as well as new pathways to stay permanently.
This initiative is expected to launch soon. Preliminary response from Hong Kong residents suggests tens of thousands of youth could take up this offer.
One pathway that has attracted immense interest from Hong Kong residents is the new work permit that will allow Hong Kong youth to work up to 3 years in Canada, and later to become a permanent resident of Canada.
- Post-secondary education in Canada or abroad (any country)
- Graduated in the last 5 years
- Resident of Hong Kong
Eligible spouses or common-law partners, as well as dependent children, can also apply for a study or work permit, as appropriate.
Pathway to Permanent Residence:
Have gained a minimum of 1 year of authorized work experience in Canada and meet other criteria such as minimum language and education levels.
Full details will be announced by IRCC soon. You can be among the first to submit your application for this special initiative. Let us help you.
